Overview
Parque Natural de O Invernadeiro is part of the Central Massif of Ourense. The reserve is delimited by the two rivers Ribeira Grande and Ribeira Pequeña. It is an area which is rich in flora and fauna and includes many waterfalls. The total protected area covers 5693ha.

Walking
A permit is needed to visit the reserve. This will allows access for up to thirty people and is obtained from the Provincial Delegation of the Environment in Ourense.

Sightseeing
The town of Laza is near O Invernadeiro Nature Reserve. The church of Retorta which dates back to the 14th century is worth visiting. There is also the old Roman camp at Castle Cerveira, which is located near the park.

Animals/Birds
Animals which inhabit the reserve include the endangered wolf, golden eagle, weasel and deer.

Plants
Included in the Parque Natural de O Invernadeiro is the unique El Circo do Figueiro Glacier which has a special forest of holly trees.
