Overview
La Garganta de los Infiernos is located 124 kilometres from Caceres and is within the municipal areas of Tornavacas, Cabezuela del Valle and Jerte. It consists of a vast network of rivers and waterfalls which have carved out the surrounding rocks.

Sightseeing
The Los Pilones which are circular pools produced by the erosion of the granite riverbed by its waters are definitely worth a visit.

Animals/Birds
Raptors are well represented, these include:- booted eagle, honey buzzard, goshawk, sparrowhawk, eagle owl, golden eagle, peregrine falcon and griffon vulture. Mammals such as genet, Spanish Ibex and wildcats are just some worth mentioning.

Plants
Garganta de los Infiernos has a wide variety of flora, including holm oak, chestnut, oak, ash and holly trees.
