Penon de Zaframagon Natural Park

Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park
 

Overview
The Peñón de Zaframagón Natural Park includes a striking 600 metre high limestone outcrop.  The park is located to the north of the Sierra de Lijar close to the Seville/Cadiz provincial border. A large colony of Griffin vultures reside here along with other birds of prey.

Animals/Birds
The Peñón de Zaframagón Natural Park is home to several different types of birds of prey including Griffon vultures, booted and Bonnelli's eagles, Egyptian vultures, eagle and little owls. Mammals found here are foxes, weasels badgers and otters.

Plants
Holm oaks and Mediterranean scrubland are the main vegetation, along with wild olive trees, lentisc, myrtle, strawberry trees and rockroses.
