Laguna de la Ratosa Natural Reserve

Overview
The Laguna de la Ratosa Natural Reserve consists of a small lake and its surrounding area covering approximately 168ha.  The lake is used during winter in particular by many waterfowl.

Animals/Birds
Birds that visit here include flamingos, grey herons, cattle egrets, white-headed ducks, mallards and red-crested pochard among many others. During migration curlew sandpipers, dunlins, little stints and little ringed, ringed and Kentish plovers can be found here.

Plants
The  predominant vegetation is reeds and rushes.
