Embalse de Malpasillo Natural Area

Overview
The Embalse de Malpasillo Natural Area includes a reservoir and outer surroundings.  It covers 512ha and is home to varying species of birds depending on the time of year.

Animals/Birds
In winter the area becomes home to great comorants, white-headed ducks, mallards, pochards, gadwalls, wigeons amongst many others. Also found here are peregrines, kestrels, marsh harriers and Cetti's warblers.

Plants
Rushes and reeds are the predominant plant variety on the shores of the reservoir.
