Animals/Birds
Marbled and white-headed ducks and Garganey are found here.  Along with avocets, black winged stilts and collared red-crested pochards.

Plants
Reeds and rushes as well as tamarisk are common around the lake shores.  Wild olive trees, dwarf fan palms and lentisc are some of the plants surrounding the lakes.
