Overview
The Complejo Endorreico de Espera Natural Reserve consists of three lakes: Hondilla, Salada de Zorrilla and Dulce de Zorrilla. It covers an area of just over 400ha. 

Animals/Birds
The Complejo Endorreico de Espera Natural Reserve is excellent for waterfowl who use the area during migration or for breeding.  Birds found here include the white-headed duck, red-knobbed coots and purple gallinules. Many birds use the lakes during migration for instance flamingos and storks.

Plants
The lakes are surrounded by reeds, reedmace and rushes. They are also home to wild olive trees, lentisc and dwarf fan palms.
