Blackjack Strategy – How to Win at the Bank

Given that there is a general “base strategy” associated with blackjack as a card game, it only makes sense that there is also specialized blackjack strategy as well. This term is generally used to describe any tactic that goes against, and in many cases goes well beyond, the rules of basic strategy used in the game of blackjack. These tactics are often referred to as strategic thinking techniques or “black hat.” The principle behind this is that a player can make more money than their opponent if they utilize a certain black hat strategy, but they may ultimately lose the game because of it.

Although you will find many blackjack strategy charts online, remember not to confuse them with the kinds that you can get at your favorite convenience store. (The ones with all the pictures of the cards stacked in different positions.) These charts cannot help you strategize because they are not written by experts. Memorizing trick cards is also not a strategy, but simply a way to memorize a certain number and use that card to make you some money. There is nothing wrong with using these memorization tactics, but if you want to be truly successful, you need to learn from someone else who has been playing for a while.

You have to use your “inner brain” to come up with your own strategies. These strategies should include such things as how many cards are in play, how much money is on the table, how many players are involved, and other such factors. When you study the different approaches and strategies, you can refine your own tactics until you are left with just ten possible moves. Of course, you have to take into consideration the situation that is being played for as well. A full house can play a lot of poker and still make the same profit, while a hand with an Ace, Queen, King and Jack may be too low or too high for the table and therefore will not produce any money.

If you have ten cards to deal with, you have to decide whether you are going to sit tight and wait for a few cards to come out, or whether you are going to hit. You may decide to hit if the dealer hits you first, especially if his hand has a lot of pairs and jacks. If he hits you first, you have a chance of hitting with a pair or more and making a good bet. If he does not, you can try a straight or flush, depending on your evaluation of the hand.

Another blackjack strategy that you should know about is betting out, or “making an exit” at the appropriate times. Some people think that betting out is a poor thing to do, but in fact, it can win you more than you put into it. The more you put into a bet, the more you stand to lose if it wins. Therefore, if you are playing betting systems, make sure that you have a good estimate of the amount you are willing to risk by having an idea of how much the pot will be before you ever place a single bet.

The last basic strategy chart to know is called the soft 17. This shows you how much you should fold to get out before the dealer hits you. In general, you should always fold to the dealer before you hit him. However, if you are on a short chip and the flop calls for a full house, you should be aggressive. Play aggressively until the flop, when the pot will be larger, and then fold aggressively to take the pot. Follow these tips, and you will soon be able to play blackjack at a profit.
